About the SPH50 Anniversary Celebration
For more than 150 years, Boston University has advanced public service and expanded access to education for people of all backgrounds. That commitment deepened in 1976 with the founding of the Boston University School of Public Health. As we celebrate 50 years of impact, we honor a legacy of advancing health and equity while looking ahead to the work still to be done.

Public health faces a defining moment, marked by persistent inequities, climate driven threats, and under resourced systems. At the same time, the future of the field depends on a new generation of leaders who continue to face barriers to public health education.
