That's why we've assembled a dynamic panel of BU alumni with experience as professional recruiters and HR reps with at companies large and small, like Boston Beer Company, Mass General Hospital, Shark and Ninja brands, Wayfair, and more.

About the panelists: 

Abba Binns, (Pardee'12) - Director of People & Culture, Omelet

Abba Binns is an entrepreneurial leader passionate about building a people-first workplace culture rooted in inclusion with learning and development at the forefront. Prior to working for Omelet, an independent advertising & creative company, Abba held roles at AIR Allies in Recruiting and served as Head of Programs and People for Capital Factory, the “center of gravity” for entrepreneurs in Texas.

Michael Conway (SAR'08) - Head of Talent and Learning, BlueRock Therapeutics

Michael Conway is a strategic and innovative global talent leader with industry experience in biotechnology, consumer goods, and consumer electronics spanning North America, APAC, and the EU. He has experience building and leading talent departments and helping companies scale their talent functions to support business objectives globally. His experience includes leading talent attraction, talent acquisition, talent development, onboarding, and workforce planning.

Patrick Nelson, (COM'11,'20) - Director of Career Services, UMass Boston College of Management
Patrick Nelson is an early-mid career talent professional providing students and seasoned professionals with career advancement opportunities through an industry-focused advising lens. For 12 years, his career has been defined by a passion for building robust and mutually beneficial relationships and partnerships between students, universities, and employers. Nelson has served as Director, Career Services at Boston University’s College of Communication (2016-2021), Senior MBA Campus Recruiter at Wayfair (2021-2023), and currently works as Director, Career Services at UMass Boston’s College of Management. He prides himself on intimately understanding the complex and unique goals of students, institutions, and corporate entities, while illuminating their strengths and driving each toward positive outcomes. Pat is a proud alumnus, former employee, and remains an active member in the Boston University community today.

 

Molly Richter, (Questrom'10) - Director of Talent Management, Massachusetts General Hospital
Molly Richter is the Director of Talent Management for Massachusetts General Hospital Development Office, where she manages the recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and professional development of a department of 230 employees. Molly joined Mass General Brigham in 2016 as a recruiter for the 14 fundraising departments across the healthcare system. Her background is in fundraising for small nonprofit organizations. Molly graduated with an MBA in nonprofit management from Boston University in 2010.
